David has been involved mainly in rallying since 1976 competing in 13 internationals as well as a few rallies overseas. He has won around 7 rallies and numerous hillclimbs and rallysprint championships. David competed in the Australian Supercar series during the 2003/4 series and came 16th at Bathurst that year. David has converted his car to a track car to compete in the GTRNZ series.

2005 Subaru WRX STI:

The Subaru race car was originally owned by Richard Mason who won 4 NZ rally championships. It has now been converted to a track car to run in the GTNZ track series and the endurance series in 2019. It has a modified 700hp engine with a sequential gearbox and Endless brakes. It also is quite lightweight using plastic as a replacement for glass.
