Bevan has been a competitor in grass roots level motorsport for the last 25 years, competing in street sprints, hill climbs and circuit racing. He has had a passion for racing Minis, Escorts and his Cobra replica. He also enjoys racing and meeting other drivers at any level of the sport. Bevan has raced at Leadfoot Festival several times in his Gulf Cobra, but keen to bring his Mini race car along and give the pre 75 Top 10 a shot in the Mini.

Bevan Wright - 1970 Morris Mini Cooper S

1970 Morris Mini Cooper S:

Bevan’s Morris Cooper S was raced in Japan then imported to New Zealand seven years ago. It is a 1380cc with a straight cut gearbox, adjustable suspension and built to look like a Tarmac Rally Car. This Mini has raced at Mini Nationals events including winning some sealed Motorkhana and Hillclimb events at Nelson. It has also done Drag racing in Masterton and is now being used in Club racing.
