1969 Smith Spider Mk2:

Smith Spider MK2 was a development after the single seat Spider had a catastrophic accident at Pukekohe in the late 60s. Built by Dennis Smith in 1969 using a 1.5Litre Johnson V4 2 stroke outboard motor. He designed and built nearly every part of this car including casting and machining his own wheels, suspension components, brake calipers and mechanical fuel injection. It represents a wonderful example of originality in a historic NZ built racecar.
